A business analysis is usually requisitioned by a company for formulating its business plans and ventures for a certain period of time, and also as a stock taking exercise.

First Paragraph: The first paragraph of a sample business analysis must identify the purposes for such an exercise and the benefits the company commissioning it stands to accrue. This is important as the needs of the company can also determine the kind of analytical approaches adopted by the company. The core team of business analysts must be identified and their specific tasks enumerated. Division of labor is critical in such a case as each business analyst must focus on a specific area of strength.

Second Paragraph: The second paragraph of a sample business analysis must move on to describing the analytical tools used for the exercise. These must be chosen in a manner that they are suited to the task at hand. The benefits of such an exercise include a clear assessment of the financial and business assets of the company and a blueprint can thus be formed of the company’s future growth and development.

Third Paragraph: The third paragraph of a business analysis must form a fitting conclusion to it. It must unambiguously list the findings determined from the exercise and list them in the correct order of importance. Only then can a business analysis be of true value.
